Coming together to create Complete Streets for Doddanekundi
In 2019, Bengaluru was said to have one of the slowest commute speeds in the country (18.7 kmph) and the traffic congestion in Doddanekundi Ward (85) is a witness to that.
We want to change this status quo.
The project aims to spearhead a shift to sustainable modes of transport by creating a robust network of “complete streets” that support cycling and walking, and provide direct, safe routes connecting neighbourhoods, transit hubs, employment areas and other destinations in Doddanekundi. The project will be undertaken as a 1-year pilot (Jan - Dec 2021) which will bring together residents, government officials, cycling enthusiasts and technical professionals. This initiative is supported under the Sustainable Urban Mobility Accord (SuMA) launched by the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT).
