Meeting with BBMP Chief Engineer

To align with ongoing BBMP work in Doddanekundi to influence the proposal for Complete Streets, we had a meeting with the BBMP Chief Engineer on 29th September 2021to discuss the details of the proposal.

We engaged in a detailed discussion regarding the following:

• RoW distribution across the network

• Maintenance tasks to be undertaken

• Accommodation of cycle lanes along our pilot route

The Chief Engineer whole heartedly supports the proposal and will be pushing all agencies for alignment and implementation. The concerned AEEs and AEs have been appointed to lead an inspection of the entire proposed network. He has also agreed to connect us with other parastatal agencies for further alignment of the project.

With regular site inspections and meetings for alignment, we hope to accommodate changes in the existing proposals and make space for cyclists and pedestrians.
