Meeting with BBMP SWM Department

On 30th July 2021, a meeting was held with BBMP SWM officials from ward 85 (Doddanekundi) & 82 (Garudachar Palya) at SPARK park. The purpose of the meeting was to assess the possible solutions to waste management issues identified along the pilot route.

With the residents and ward Health Inspectors, we discussed strategies to resolve issues regarding the removal of chronic blackspots, clearance of construction debris, clearance of overgrown weeds and regular street sweeping among other similar hurdles.

The BBMP SWM officials agreed to clearing the blackspots and also suggested having a combined meeting with other BBMP Departments to clarify roles and responsibilities regarding certain tasks to be undertaken. As a follow-up, a drive across the network will be organised with the residents and BBMP officials for alignment before we implement our pilot.
