ROUTE/ISSUE MAPPING WORKSHOP

The community members present were taken through the project proposal to understand all the approach, timeline and milestones. We captured issues that cyclists face along the routes they use as well as critical junctions to be considered to conduct a traffic count. This was carried out through a short exercise giving community members the opportunity to point out problematic routes and junctions on a large physical map. The outcome of the meeting was the formation of 3 broad teams of lead volunteers who would help plan for the 3 upcoming activities - Expanding the Cyclists Survey to other missing groups, Traffic study at critical junctions and the Handlebar survey.
